Open sights.

Yes, all kinds of non-FX airguns have a place here. Do consider the proper locations for these discussions though.

Open sights.

I've got an old BSA Supersport in the man's caliber, (.22).
I decided it was time for an overhaul.
As i was going through my spares box, i found the original open sights, and thought i would refit them.
I had for got how satisfying it was to shoot with open sights, and coul still even get a 1" group at 20 mtrs!!
For pest control of magpies and crows this is ample when roost shooting, (as hopfully if the missus let's me  ) i can try out today!.

Do any of you still shoot with open sights?

Man! A few weeks ago I tryed to shoot my Sheridan with open sights and I couldn't hit a $hit :x I grew up with that rifle and when I was a kid I was a natural born rat killer with that rifle and no scope... After a hundred shots and a blister in my hand for pumping the rifle hundreds of times, I gave up and I scoped the little gun with a very basic and light Bushnell 3x9. Seems like I got spoiled by the scopes and now I can't shot open sights!! :|

Alternate to my Scopes I shoot very soon with my
Diopter, but max. 50 Meters, its strong enough,
higher Distance are impossible. There is a little
Optik with 1,5x zoom and sharpen the Target in.

Have one or two open sighted spring guns, just to keep in practice, and to remind me what it's all about!

Shooting open sights is a nice change every now and then :)

It needs a bit of practice though.
