How many is too many?

Yes, all kinds of non-FX airguns have a place here. Do consider the proper locations for these discussions though.

Gee that is a collection.

No Theobens though ? Have you decided to buy a ST Barrel yet and fit to one or have you a hankering for a new Gun

I'm Quite lucky in that my wife cannot tell the difference between a shot gun and an air rifle.. Same with Garden Tractors come to think of it :lol: I only ever get one out at a time ;)

Edit, It's just been pointed out to me (Thanks 4k 8-) ), I'd not noticed :oops: that you have a Shinsung Dragon .50.. I'd love to have a go with that !

The Dragon..hmm, yeah, I'd have to fix it first, it's b0rk. But I'll get to that, I've some good ideas for it.

I can also add to my collection now:
* FX Cyclone .22
* FX Verminator .22

Both with an ST barrel! I swung by Hurricane again today. Chatted a bit with Tobias and came home with more than I need. Oh well :)

I'm quite curious as how these barrels will perform, both in the long and short version. But more on that later in separate topics! I've to shoot them first :)

No, no Theobens. Never had, either. I'm keeping an eye out for an SLR though.

:D WOW Polarwolf, I'd love to be able to go shopping like you do :mrgreen:

Before I settled on a new air rifle I had narrowed my choice down to the Royale 400, Daystate Air Ranger, and Theoben Rapid MKII, I reckon you've got about the most desirable collection I've seen in a long time - not to mention the Scandlines moose plushy ;)

Will be good to read your experiences with the ST barrels when you get round to it :D

When I spend, I spend big. One Cyclone is for someone else though. The pellets...well, they're rather cheap, cheap enough not to pass up on when I'm able to get a box. I can always sell a few tins on. The Vermi and the Cyclone, well, I sold a similar Cyclone before and always regretted it. The Vermi is one I've coveted for a while, so why not try one?

I do try to sell a rifle every now and then. The S510 is for sale, the Dragon (when it's fixed) is likely to go, either the MPR or de S400F can go (probably the latter). I hang on to anything that's special or hard to get, "current" models are candidates to sell when I'm done playing with them. Just need to find a buyer though, it's tough...and these rifles don't come cheaply. On the other hand, they're bought and paid for and don't eat meals. I've time.

I just had visions of you with an ever growing collection ;). I must admit the Vermy has a lot of appeal to me for it's super compactness as well as it's abilities, perfect rifle to compliment the Royale for me. I know what you mean regarding the difficulty selling. That Dragon is a pretty awesome piece of kit, I looked it up on pyramydair.com, that thing can destroy bricks :shock:.

Well...the Dragon is pretty korean, in that its prone to leaking, shoddy build quality and valves which basically suck. However, by the time I'm done with it it'll probably be a bottle gun with some power tuning in place. It needs some rebluing here and there too. Maybe after all that I like it so much it gets to stay ;)

I don't really have to sell anything so if I don't, I don't. Big deal. The cabinet is full though and has been for some time now :) Maybe I should just get a new one of those with more room.

I'd heard of problems with Korean made before, never owned one myself but didn't know they were quite that bad, the spec sounded good though. If you redesign it it'll be a very interesting rifle - better order that cabinet tomorrow then I reckon ;). Nice workshop in the photo by the way :D
