.22 Theoben MFR shot string

Yes, all kinds of non-FX airguns have a place here. Do consider the proper locations for these discussions though.

Pretty impressive figures, your shot 13 was 1 lb/ft (corrected after typo), pretty good for an MFR :P ;)

Seriously, 33.96 to 29.92 lb/ft assuming 18gr pellets, that is superb 8-)

Yep 18 grains.. Looking at them, think the best gives about 60 shots :o
All the time i''ve had this gun I've never put more that 12 pellets or so over the Cron'o.. Never needed more than say 3 mag full's on a hunt.

I've more shots to play with then i thought.. Quick fill and gauge on the wish list me thinks

What I'm going to do i think is put 220 bar in the Verminator.. Shoot her over the Cron'o till she's obviously dropping off.. Then do the same with the ST Barrel when i get it... I might treat the Verminator to a 500cc bottle' but I'd like to know how much heavier it is etc. If anybody out there has a 500cc bottle on a Vermy I'd like to hear how you got on ? or a link would be good :)

Look forward to your results with the Verminator!! I don't think you'll have a weight problem with the 500cc bottle as it's at the back, you may need to move the scope back a little bit to compensate due to the extra length though. The 400cc bottle is around £180 so I would imagine the 500cc may be a bit more.

Thanks for that Chap

I was going to do the Vermy shot string this morning being on holiday an all  but .. geee.. ..anyway..

There is another couple of inches free behind my Verminator bottle without moving the stock further back so i might be OK.. Guess I'd better look on the FX site and see if it gives the length.

The thought behind the larger bottle is so i could turn the power up on the hammer spring a tadge with out loosing what i consider to be a very flat power curve.. I'm looking for 800 fps plus with 10.5g.. 860 would be great.. It will do it now with my current hammer and spring if i up the pre load, but I'm then left with a very slow but definite drop in power from shot one onwards..

I've just looked out some notes I'd kept as a ref

This is with .177 Biz mags' and the hammer spring on full .. . Think with out looking they weigh around 10.6 grains.

200 BAR FILL 8 shots per Mag

Mag Number (1) = 850 fps
Mag Number (2) down to 833 fps
Mag Number (3) down to 825 fps
Mag Number (4) down to 822 fps
After Mag number (5) aprox 800fps and more or less dropping with every shot there on..

So you can see there is a bit of a sweat spot but it nigles me WHEN SET LIKE THAT.. Bit like your 23 fps spread with the AA
ps latest FX Royale in new A G World pps Interesting add on page 80 of the new AG World.. you might like ;)

Yeah, plans of mice and men etc, you get days like that.

Not seen dimensions mentioned on the FX site or in the catalog, the standard 400cc as probably know is just under 250mm in length and looking at the photos I don't think you are far out with the additional couple of inches / 50mm.

That's still pretty good buddy, 17.01 down to 15.92 lb/ft over 32 shots isn't too much, but I know what you mean.

Not seen AG world yet, you gonna give me a hint of what's on page 80 so I can save the money for some pellets? :D

Tight or what  .. I'd suggest you go into the shop for a thumb through but they have put the mag in a bag .. It's to stop the twitchers ;) :D

Test on the New Royale too.. or did i mention that :o

Regarding the Bottle,
There was a thread on the yellow forum of the 500 adding a inch and a half to the 400 so I'm in luck.. :P

Was a half page add... From Milbro.. Where a certain Mr. B T Is doing upgrades, ST barrels and regs etc etc.. With prices.. Mind you it might be an old add.. but it's new to me.. Some interesting Royale.. (did i spell it correctly that time) options with prices.. :D Retro fit stuff tooo ;)

OK, OK I'll pop into the newsagents then . there's only one nearby who sells air gun mags and they are in the middle of a ped zone  Yup, you mentioned the new Royale test so I'll enjoy reading that :D

I'll have to check out Milbro a little more, just been on their web site and can't find anything relating to the Royale, did spot the Metisse - have you seen that thing? Compressed air or CO2 and stated that you'd get between 1000 and 2000 shots per fill for a 12ft lb rifle using CO2 - that's an incredible amount of shots :o

Well you are talking Mr BT so anything's possible ;)

I spoke to a delightful young lady at Deben when I was looking into FX, a regulator was an option when I bought the Royale, read some reviews and decided not to go for it - more weight anyway ;)

 Somehow I figured you'd be one of those gullible persons :P
