Wobbly Wildcat pellet probe!

Postby tclancey on Tue Aug 08, 2017 12:13 pm

A mate of mine has brought his Wildcat to me saying it has awful indexing problems. It hasn't, it indexes perfectly, however the pellet probe is so loose and waggly (technical term) it doesn't always line up with the magazine properly.

I've watched all the strip down videos and there's nothing there that scares me, but what I can't work out just looking at the pictures, is how the probe can be so loose, there doesn't appear to be any collets or washers in there to wear down. I can't think that the block itself would have worn to this extent.

Has anyone else come across this problem?

Thanks.

Have you checked out the youtube video 'FX wildcat index tuning'
The indexing arm is only held in by 1 screw and is quite flexible.
I think its designed that way so it doesn't rub on the magazine too hard!
