Since woodcock are a challenge for experinced shotgun shooters, near impossble to spot sitting tight and in the uk are in the closed season after 31 january some might say you've managed to achieve the impossible and potentially illegal.

Feel free to correct me.

I didn't even know this section was on this forum!
I shall have to contibute...
I use a .22 FX Monsoon with 21 grain H & N in my business as a professional shooter. My brother and I started the business about a year ago and are employed by local councils and golf clubs to clear rabbits off.
we then sell the carcasses to Taronga ( Sydney) Zoo.
I'll try and put a few pics up and maybe a video or two as I use an NS200 for night use

great fun!

Who says you can't kill a fox with an air rifle?
A council hired us to knock off a fox or two at a picnic park in Sydney
This bitch was taken at about 50 meters, after spending 15 mins trying to get her in. turned her head to my profile and.... Whack! got her right in the sweet spot.
instant kill using infra red night vision, FX Monsoon with H & N 21 grain Baracuda
