Power adjuster hard to turn?

Postby Zero4k on Wed Feb 27, 2013 12:15 pm

The power wheel can be pretty stiff on some of the later FX rifles making it a bit uncomfortable to use, but thanks to everything being adjustable on these rifles it's a quick and easy job to sort.

If you look just above the power wheel on the top of the block directly above the arrow indicator by the scope rail, you'll see a hole, this is where you adjust the tension using a 2mm hex wrench, just back it out a couple of turns and turn the power adjuster a few times to loosen everything off, now turn the hex bolt back in to a more suitable / comfortable tension, you'll find find it so much better to use, I'm naming this as the "thumb saver"!

Edit:

Thanks for sharing this. I thought it was the ball bearing and the spring that kept the adjuster hard to turn.
Nice tip!

Sorry for the late reply sea bass,

You might have to remove the hex bolt and hook the spring out. I would imagine that during assembly, a small drop of thread lock may have run downward and got onto the spring and maybe even the ball bearing, this would likely make it too tight to move freely.
