A few groups

Hi guys, took delivery of my FX Royale 400 in .22 this week. What a precision machine! At first I was a little disappointed with the velocity, only doing around 820 with 18g pellets. Accuracy was great though. However I bought a high powered air rifle and every thing I have seen on line suggest around 920fps with 18g pellets. So pulled it apart, hammer spring adjuster was wound right out. It was now night and the rabbits were waiting, so simply wound the adjuster all the way in, quickly re-zeroed, drove out to the paddock and smashed a few rabbits!

So next day or so got a chance to put it over the chronograph and was very pleased with both the velocity, and importantly the spread over shots. Velocity of around 975 fps with 18g pellets with shots going 975, 970, 971, 974, 971, 967 stopped checking them then, oh rifle is unregulated. Very happy.

Other pellets quickly checked. 21g Bracuda's doing 907, 905, 904, 901. 15g JSB 1003, 999, 1005, you get the picture. Pretty darn consistant.

No now doubt Key boards are getting hammered. What about shot count, consistency, accuracy and so on. Well today I shot 60 shot at flat out speed. Never had my chronograph but group size NEVER changed. POI dropped maybe a few mm's at 25m. Started with just over 200 bar, shot to 15o bar. So I have done lots of field shooting including pro roo shooting here in Aussie that such a small POI change ain't going to mean much when your trying to shoot a bunny off hand at 40m.

So here are the 25m and a 50m group. Its summer here and the wind blows like crazy so I waiting for calm took a bit!
