FX elite ready for the range

Here's my recently acquired FX Elite in 25cal. Installed a Sightron SIII 6-24x50 FFP MOA scope. Waiting to recover from back surgery so I can test it out.

Finally got a chance to take the rifle to the range and zero it. I set my zero at 50yds,75yds-2 3/4mils,and 100yds-6mils. I used JSB Kings and a fill start pressure at 160bars.

Tested the rifle again. At 50yds I got a .250 ctc group. Then I stretched it out to 80yds and it measured .500 ctc. There was very little wind and that helped alot. I'm still in a learning process as far as benchrest shooting is concerned, but I'm hooked. ;)

Did some mods to the stock to make it more stable on the benchrest and rear sand bag. Also added some decorating to the air cylinder. It gives it some character and bite.

Now THAT should eliminate 'shooter error' pretty well!

All you need to touch is the trigger if you use a shooting vise to hold your Elite steady. Be sure to paste an "evil eye" on the front of your bottle for critter intimidation!
