Hi, looking at getting a MK1 .177 (New Old Stock), anything to watch out for from new?
It's got a S/T barrel & will be running sub 12 fpe, rumour has it that the S/T barrels aren't brilliant when running sub 12 is rumour right or wrong (again! )
It's for the wife - she's currently using a AA(CZ) S200 & I'm hoping that she finds the Vermy a better gun for her small stature (5' 2"), better balanced etc. etc.

Having a few grouping problems, rested on 2 bean bags I can't seem to get a sub 12 mm group with any pellets I've got here (and I've got over 30 different brands/sizes), yet my Cyclone will group a mag full inside 6 mm, only difference is the 300 mm S/T barrel on the Vermy, the Cyclone is a carbine L/W barrel (both are about the same power). I'll be trying 4.53 JSB Exact pellets at the weekend. Anybody else had problems?

Getting a L/W barrel for it - after a text to the supplying company ;)
Looks as though the S/T isn't the way to go - or, at least, not yet, probably needs more work to get them to work properly at sub 12 (like cutting grooves in a spiral inside the barrel - oops, that's called rifling! ).
What was really annoying, was that I could get better groups with one of my cheapy Chinese underlever rifles (£10)

Wife shot it for the first time today  (Only had it for a week & it's the first time she's been able to get it off me  ) seems to be getting better, so the barrel could just need to be leaded in, got up to about 200 shots through it now, still looking at the L/W barrel though.

Couple of other things I'll investigate getting for it, a barrel steady & a reg - got both on the Cyclone, and it's a joy to shoot, with no worries over 'sweet spot' or of the barrel wandering ;)

Been 'investigating' - if I want to fit a reg, then it'll have to be a non-FX one, as there isn't enough room in the front tube :( Think it'll stay S/T, it's as accurate as the Cyclones L/W barrel and the wife was hitting more 50 yard targets with the Vermy than I was with the Cyclone at the club yesterday

Further update
This little gun is just getting better and better, had a few teething problems with the cocking, trip back to ASI & Simon fixed it under warranty, other than that, it's performing well over what it was probably designed for (it's being used for FT) and it's hitting 25 mm spinners out to 50 meters fitted with a ZOS 10-40x50 ESF scope. Well chuffed with it.
