What kind of mods did you have in mind? (apart from having a pink gun :o ).

I've seen custom made stocks for them but not much else, its a fairly self-contained, all 'bells & whistles' gun.

The semi autos are very sensitive for modifications. The slightest off balance will make it stop operating properly. Depending on what you have in mind it might or might not be a good idea to try and mess with it.

Sorry guys, listen to PolarWolfs excellent advice:

The semi autos are very sensitive for modifications. The slightest off balance will make it stop operating properly.

The semis and esp the Monsoon are very sensitive, do not try to increase power. A higher powerlevel will also generate more recoil and this will put a lot of stress to the rifle. The Revo can take a little more, its a better design (IMHO) and takes a lot more punishment before anyting important breaks. Anyway...a semi is fun, a semi that works just now or then is not fun, dont mess with them. Just enjoy them as they are, a powerlevel of 38 fpe would be enough for any normal need.

Hi My Monsoon is semi semi auto .. it operates one shot from a period of non use then seems to operate normally.. so all i can think is that the cocking bolt is not resetting the trigger .. PTFE oil lubrication seemed to cure the problem ... it is definately better .. but still goes single shot for the first few operations .. The mag was stiff dry graphite lock lubrication made this silky smooth . the cocking knob repeatedly came loose (now locktited).

I would attach a photo of my home made silencer .. but don,t know how to do this .. Bi for now Novarossi.

Do you fill the Monsoon at 200BAR or a bit more? Try filling it at 190BAR. Use 16.0 or 18.1grains JSB pellets and see if all work smoothly. Use Red Loctite on the bolt or Super Glue, but degrease it with alcohol or benzine, beforehand, as oily treads tend to void all glues. Use a Q-Tip (cotton earbuds), to clean the female threads of the bolt carrier as well as the male threads on the bolt.
