Some time ago I picked up a .177 Typhoon which wouldn't group too well. It also had problems hooking the sear behind the hammer consistently. So I started thinking what to do with the thing. Well, customize it, of course.

I ordered some parts for a .22 Typhoon and an original FX Typhoon regulator from my usual supplier. I took an old .20 barrel from a Sheridan pumper and made it to fit into the Typhoon breech. Took an old Cyclone tube (the original Typhoon tube is now attached to a HW100) and fitted the regulator in it. It takes an afternoon work, but this is the result:

Cute, innit?

It shoots nice. When it stops raining I'll do a chrony session with it, see what it does :)

Cute yes, looks rather nice 8-) Being a .22 I'd be interested in the results of your chrony session - I realise that you are probably putting a lot more power than mine though.

What scope will you be using out of interest?

Just re-read this, it's .20 not .22

Looks good.. Nice one.
I don't know a lot about Crosman Barrels so will be very interested how it shapes up on the range and not forgeting how the reg does.
